This is Rum Island Spring which is the closest spring from our property, just a few minutes drive down the road.

The rolling hills of North Central Florida are very inspirational to me along with the azalias, victorian homes, wisteria, camillias, large oaks, spainish moss, day lillies, roses,lakes & springs. I really think in Spring time here there is no other place quite as beautiful, This painting Titled "Southern Spring Morning" reflects all this in one painting. 

This painting has quite a history. I started the painting a month before 911 as a tribute to slain police officers, while still painting it 911 occured and it seemed only fitting to add in a fireman to represent all the firemen that died that day, police officers also died that day though not as many. Far below on earth is the twin towers and pentagon, the child representing the innocence of the people killed and the children also. When I copyrighted the work the copyright office sent me a letter telling me they had to screen my paperwork for anthrax. Remember the antrax scare? A copy of  the letter is attached to

the back.  Original not for sale, prints may be made with permission for charitable reasons at no charge at this time.  Since all of this happened we went to war and we lost many soldiers so I probably will be adding a soldier go up the steps to meet Jesus.
